Medical gases

During this 1 day course learners will develop the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the safe, prompt and effective administration of emergency oxygen and analgesic agents such as entonox.

The Level 3 Award in Administering Emergency Medical Gases has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility for providing treatment to patients who need medical gases administrating in Prehospital care environments, such as those working in the police force, fire service or private ambulance sector.

Learners must be at least 18 years old on the first day of training.

Prerequisite Qualification: Learners are required to hold either:

• A current and valid Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or
• A valid Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) qualification, or
• A Qualsafe Awards (QA) recognised equivalent qualification.

• 1 x Learner workbook
• 1 x Practical assessment.
