This nationally recognised qualification is ideal for individuals aiming to become first responders such as police officers, firefighters, medical staff at events, door supervisors, close protection operatives, security guards and workers in high-risk sectors like the military, power stations, agriculture and manufacturing.
This five-day, interactive course meets the competencies required by the PHEM (Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine) skills framework at descriptor level D. It equips participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to handle various pre-hospital emergency scenarios.
Participants will earn the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF). This certification includes training in the administration of emergency oxygen, management of trauma patients, treatment of major illnesses and other critical topics.
Participants in this course need to be at least 17 years old on the first day of training.
While there are no formal prerequisites, we recommend that learners have a minimum of Level 2 literacy or its equivalent, as well as a foundational knowledge of first aid, to fully benefit from the course content.
