This qualification has been designed with the aim of equipping individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to fulfill the role of a first-aider in the workplace.
First aiders are an integral part of workplace safety. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations including, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
No prior qualifications or specific skills, knowledge or understanding are required for enrolling in this course. We welcome learners from all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already have some knowledge in the field, this qualification is open to all individuals eager to enhance their understanding of patient care services and ambulance driving.
